Hey Lemon - your latest post, and blog in general, is so arty and aesthetic. It must have taken you a long time to produce it. I liked how you picked a context that's probably very relevant to you to explain the process of stormboard. I'm actually a big advocate of distance/blended learning, if all the ingredients are right.
I agree with video chatting. If they manage to incorporate video calls it would make life much easier. It would really save time from typing while communicating with the others. In such whiteboards your focus should be on typing for brainstorming rather than typing in order to communicate with others.
Hi lemon! Another beautiful and stunning post :) Yeah, the chat function might be useful for a sort of conference-like interaction. It does get a bit confusing for students to post notes while also having to read the chat box to communicate with other members - much easier to just speak and see the other members. The chat function in each sticky note is also not as helpful because it doesn't alert members when someone comments on the note.
Hi Lemon, I really like how you demonstrate your post! I think Stormboard is novel and functional for collaboration. But just like what Priska says, students probably get lost in the multitasking world. While it keeps the interface straightforward, it should make the interaction more apparent to users. Otherwise, the users may lose track in the process of communication when focusing on their works. James

ReplyDeleteHello Lemon, I don't want to give too much comments on your beautiful blog anymore, since I know the secret that you are an artist.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't really understand about your video chat idea. Why do you think video chat is important in this platform?
